[ENG} In the presented works, I refer to human corporeality and physicality, pointing to the still existing and persistent belief in culture regarding the dichotomy of the division into what is corporeal and spiritual, into the sacred and the profane.

We are ashamed of our own body, we cause it suffering by depreciating its value – we neglect it or focus too much on building its perfection. Each time we subject it, consciously or not, to various activities aimed at changing it. To some extent it is plastic and can be formed, but it is unstable and subject to biological processes.

The skin is a „time map”. It records the history of our lives. It plasticizes and visualizes all interventions. It is physical proof of our existence. Ours here and now. Limiting development and diversity is against nature, against biology.

Similar cannot mean the same…

[PL] W prezentowanych realizacjach nawiązuję do cielesności i fizyczności człowieka, wskazując na ciągle istniejące w kulturze i pokutujące przekonanie dotyczące dychotomii podziału na to, co cielesne i duchowe, na sacrum i profanum.

Wstydzimy się własnego ciała, zadajemy mu cierpienie poprzez deprecjonowanie jego wartości – zaniedbujemy je albo nadmierne skupiamy się nad budowaniem jego doskonałości. Za każdym razem poddajemy je, świadomie lub nie, różnym czynnościom mającym na celu jego zmianę. Do pewnego stopnia jest plastyczne i daje się formować, ale jest nietrwałe i ulega procesom biologicznym.

Skóra to „mapa czasu”. Zapisuje w sobie historię naszego życia. Uplastycznia i wizualizuje wszystkie ingerencje.  Jest fizycznym dowodem naszego istnienia. Naszym tu i teraz. Ograniczenie rozwoju i różnorodności jest wbrew naturze, wbrew biologii.

Podobne nie może oznaczać takie samo…
